| so i had an analogy thrown at me today after dealing with some people that illustrated it clearly. the analogy was this,
Former German Baptist people act like an obsessed ex-girlfriend.
this was said in reference towards the german baptist church.

| i find a view, commonly held by conservative or fundamentalist (arminianist?) christians, to be ironic. this concept has been forced into view recently. first of all as "pro-lifers," we must say that life begins at conception. however should the baby die in utero or shortly after we say that he/she is in "heaven" (what exactly is meant by this is a different discussion entirely). however if life started at conception and we are born into sin or are totally depraved, then wouldn't sin have started at conception also? if not when does sin start, at the very act of birth? if sin did start at conception how is the little one in "heaven" now? i'm confused.......

| i am at a strange place, my journey through chritianity has led me to land unevenly. i've been arguing conservatively, living moderately, pushing liberally. i've seemingly settled into two churches, each is quite unique yet similar, different issues with the same approaches, one has been unique trying becoming mainstream. the other is mainstream trying to become unique. on my path for unity within christendom i've been banished by a preacher. graduation is just around the corner and two more years await me on the other side. my strength and drive have increased while my emotions have run dry. i've discovered the solice of solitude once again and my desire to be around people has increased. i'm in a strange place, to walk a tight rope is to be pulled both ways equally and not fall. |
